The center is open from 7:00am to 5:30pm. You are requested to sign in

and out your child using our computerized program. You will need to

have a PIN Number assigned.

Activities begin around 9:30am. A child who wants to eat breakfast at

the center needs to be here before 9:00am. When you bring your child,

please come in with him/her and take him/her to the classroom.

If your child is late (after 9:30am) or absent, you will be requested to bring verification from your doctor’s office. CHILDREN WILL NOT BE ALLOWED AFTER 11:00 am or without a note.

Free Play: This activity occurs from the time your child arrives at he center until 9:00am and sometimes after nap time. A wide variety of toys and educational materials are provided for the children to choose from. The children can move independently to various areas that are set up in the classroom. These areas include dramatic play activities, Home living equipment, blocks, puzzles, books, toys, games and art activities.

Circle time: this is a time when teachers and children gather together for sharing and discussion time. Some activities incorporate most of the morning program and are developed according to the needs of each group.

Nap/Rest Period: A period of rest is important to pre-school age children whether they sleep or not. All children have a rest or nap period in the afternoon. The length of time depends upon the age of the child. The lights are dimmed, quiet music is played, or a story is read. It is a relaxing time for children who are sleepy.

Extended Day Program (3:30 to 5:30) this time usually consists of informal activities. The children will have carefully supervised free time where they are encouraged to play quiet games, color, work on puzzles, and listen to stories read by the teachers. Music, arts and crafts, cooking and movement activities are also incorporated during these hours. Your child will be involved in this program until he/she is picked up.
